You hear about it all the time. Bloggers going around raving about all the money they are making with their blogs. Can this really be true? Can you simply blog and make decent income? The answer is yes you can! It is not that hard either. There are several ways to earn income from your blog. Let’s explore two of those ways.

1. Adsense - This is the easier way. You simply sign up for Google’s Adsense program and place a little piece of code they give you in your blog. This displays ads that are relevant to the content of your blog and Every time someone clicks on these ads, you make money. How neat is that?

2. Affiliate marketing - Sign up for an affiliate network. Let’s take Clickbank, for example. Then write posts in your blog either reviewing your affiliate products or blog about helpful information related to your affiliate product and then place a link to it in your blog post. Every time someone clicks on your link and makes a purchase, you are paid a commission.

The secret to making money with either of these two methods is in the traffic. You need to get lots of traffic to your blog. You can do this through PPC, SEO optimization, writing articles, posting on other people’s blogs, posting in forums, classified ads or any other method of advertising. Just keep updating your blog with fresh content and keep advertising it and you will be on the road to a successful full time income with it.
