This is a rather worrying article to come across… Why is it that a German computer scientist would dedicate four months of his life to cracking the golden mobile phone algorithm? Couldn’t he have done something that would have been a little bit more beneficial to mankind? What an absolute waste for a man of such intellect to spend such a long time working on.
I don’t know why it is but there are some really clever people out there who completely misuse their talents. In fact, computers are a very good area to look for examples of this. For instance, creating an effective virus is not something that many people could sit down and do. But what is the actual point of it? Even if you are the type of person who gets off on other peoples’ misery then it is still a pretty fruitless task. Managing to design a really nasty computer infection that can get past any anti-virus software will not give you any real pleasure; you are never even going to see the victims of your cyber attack, are you?
If all of the people who use their skills to break to law, scam people and cause misery were to turn their hand to something good then the world really would be a better place for it. Imagine what kind of amazing inventions these dark geniuses come up with that could have a really positive effect on our world.
Unfortunately there have always been a lot of people who are only out for themselves. They do things for their own benefit; be it monetary gain or an urge to hurt, bully and destroy.
So, now that the holy/unholy mobile phone algorithm has been cracked, how long will it be before a new type of crime appears that we will all have to be on guard against?
One last thing, I have just checked out the design for this hr software webpage and I must admit in my web designer opinion it is really good-looking. I was having quite a strenuous time actually finding any particulars about the company or services however, which made me wonder what is more critical, charm or usability? Let’s have a vote!
